Welcome to the first session in our Alteration Workshop Series. This hands-on workshop focuses on one of the most essential and practical skills in sewing, hemming and shortening garments.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:
Hem and shorten pants or jeans
Adjust sleeve lengths
Shorten hems on tops and shirts
Work with different types of fabric and finishes
This session will build the foundation for clean, professional-looking results. Guests are encouraged to bring three or four pieces that they’d like to alter (pants, sleeves, or tops you want to shorten).
This class is a prerequisite for upcoming Alterations Workshops, where we’ll explore more advanced techniques like tapering, taking in garments, and zipper replacements.
We provide the equipment, you bring the creativity!
Sewing machines and all equipment will be provided. Workshop addresses will be sent via email a few days before the event. Spaces are limited and will go fast. Your spot will be secured once payment is received.

We are a small studio with limited space, accommodating small groups of students at a time. Much time is needed to prepare for each class, and we want to provide you with the best experience possible. As a result, we do not accept cancellations, and class fees are nonrefundable.
